FIU in DC's Summer Impact Series: Navigating the Unwritten Rules for Career Success with a presentation by Tinisha Agramonte helped me understand the impact of Imposter's Syndrome and the experiences faced by women in the workforce. Tinisha Agramonte provided an abundance of advice on how to be successful and more confident in my future career.

At FIU, many Women's History Month events were presented, like the Cafecito Chat, Young Womxn's Impact in the 305: Bringing the SDGs Home. It was incredible to learn about the accomplishments of the women panelists and what they have done for the South Florida community and for outside communities as well.

During my time in the Global Learning Medallion Program, I have had to opportunity to attend a variety of events, like the Tuesday Times Roundtables and Cafecito Chats.

The TTR: Photographic Storytelling & Our Stories: Summer 2020 has been one of my favorite events that I have attended. The subject was the project Our Stories created by FIU Honors College and FIU Wolfsonian Public Humanities Lab. In this project, a select group of students was provided with disposable cameras to capture moments during the summer of 2020 and life during the COVID-19 pandemic. What was interesting was the variety of stories captured in the photographs. While this pandemic affecting everyone, every person's story is different, which was reflected in this project. It allows for an opportunity to view different perspectives outside of our own.
